What Makes Us Different

KIE Solution sets ourselves apart from other integrators by providing a deep focus on understanding each customer's unique operational challenges and delivering truly customized automation solutions. Unlike many integrators who provide off-the-shelf systems, we specialize in creating tailored solutions for a variety of needs — material handling, assembly automation, control panel builds, and end-of-line testing — designed to maximize throughput and minimize downtime. Our machines are built to be heavy-duty, capable of handling the toughest environments and the most demanding workloads with consistent performance. Our engineers go onsite to evaluate existing processes and operational pain points, ensuring that our systems are not only efficient but also user-friendly, with intuitive HMI screens, comprehensive alarms, and easy-to-replace parts. This hands-on approach, combined with our commitment to post-installation support and operator training, ensures that our customers get automation solutions that are reliable, scalable, and built to last.

Meet Our Owner

Phil Kieselhorst founded KIE Solution to solve the biggest problems he saw in automation for small to mid-sized businesses — the "jigsaw mess" that happens when automation lacks proper future planning and machines are simply "thrown over the fence" without long-term support. Phil recognized that many integrators installed systems that worked initially but became difficult to expand or maintain over time. He created KIE Solution to provide custom, heavy-duty automation with a focus on scalability, reliability, and ongoing support to ensure customers get lasting value from their automation investments.

Our Core Solutions

Custom Automation

Assembly, material handling, and end-of-line testing systems built for precision and reliability.

Controls Design

Electrical schematics and panel layout design — the foundation every panel build, retrofit, or new system starts from.

Control Panel Builds

UL508A-minded panel design and build, from build-to-print to full design-build.

Retrofits & Upgrades

Modernizing legacy control systems and obsolete equipment without a full rebuild.

Onsite Integration

Installation, commissioning, startup, and operator training at your facility.

KIE Solution specializes in custom automation for small to mid-sized businesses, with a focus on robotic solutions for material handling, assembly automation, and end-of-line (EOL) testing. We tailor each system to improve throughput, operator usability, and long-term maintenance.

We work with metal & foundry, automotive, oven & heating systems, agricultural, food & beverage, and power generation integration industries. If your process can benefit from automation, we'll help design a solution that fits.

We pride ourselves on offering a full manufacturing workup and building machines with the operator and maintenance staff in mind. Our team goes onsite to understand your challenges and we offer long-term support, not just a one-time install.

Yes. Our engineers perform onsite evaluations to observe your processes firsthand. This ensures we fully understand your operational, safety, and maintenance needs before we design anything.

Absolutely. We specialize in custom integration, meaning we can connect new automation to your existing machines, MES systems, or factory databases. We aim to enhance, not disrupt, your current operations.

Yes. Every system comes with operator and maintenance training, customized to your staff's needs. We also include HMI interfaces that are user-friendly and intuitive to minimize the learning curve.

We offer remote support, on-call technician service, and preventative maintenance packages to help you avoid costly downtime.

Lead times vary based on project scope, but a typical custom solution takes 12–40 weeks from initial concept to installation, this is all dependent on size and scope of project. Contact us today to get a rough estimate for your project.
