Custom Automation

Fully custom systems built around your process — not a standard platform stretched to fit.

No two production lines look the same, so we don't start from a template. Every system we build is designed around your actual process — your parts, your throughput, your floor space. That covers everything from assembly stations and material handling to end-of-line testing. If it needs to be automated and it's not off-the-shelf, this is where we start.

Systems We Design and Build

Our factory automation services go beyond standard integration. We take a hands-on approach, sending our experienced engineers onsite to evaluate your current setup, identify bottlenecks, and develop automation strategies that streamline operations. From material handling and assembly automation to End-of-Line (EOL) test cells, our systems are designed to maximize throughput and withstand the toughest industrial environments.

KIE Solution

Assembly Stations:

Manual, semi-automated, or fully automated assembly systems built around your product and takt time.

KIE Solution

Material Handling:

Conveyor systems, part transfer, and staging designed to move product through your process without becoming the bottleneck.

KIE Solution

End-of-Line Testing:

Custom test cells that verify your product meets spec before it ships.

KIE Solution

Packaging Lines:

Automated packaging systems built around your product and your packaging format.

KIE Solution

Pick-and-Place:

Robotic and mechanical pick-and-place systems for parts transfer, sorting, and placement.

Robotics & Vision-Guided Integration

Robotics and Vision, Where the Application Calls for It

Many of our systems incorporate robotic handling and vision-guided integration — for parts inspection, guided pick-and-place, or process verification. We bring these in when the application genuinely needs them, not as a default add-on.

Fully Custom, Every Time

We don't sell a standardized platform. Every system starts with your application — the part, the process, the constraints of your facility — and gets designed from there. That means more upfront engineering than a off-the-shelf solution, and a system that actually fits how you run.

Built for Your Application

Fully Custom, Every Time

We don't sell a standardized platform. Every system starts with your application — the part, the process, the constraints of your facility — and gets designed from there. That means more upfront engineering than a off-the-shelf solution, and a system that actually fits how you run.

Who We Build For

From Single Cells to Large-Scale Projects most of our custom automation work is for small to mid-size manufacturers, built start to finish in-house. For larger-scale projects, we also work in close collaboration with partner companies, contributing our controls and automation expertise as part of a bigger team. Either way, the same engineering standard applies.

Our Process

How a Project Comes Together

A custom automation project moves through concept, design, build, and install — with regular check-ins along the way. We schedule updates throughout the project so you always know where things stand. That also keeps us on track with what we need from you to keep things moving.

Concept:

We start with your process and constraints, and work out what the system actually needs to do.

Design:

Mechanical and controls design, reviewed with you before anything gets built.

Build:

The system comes together in our shop, with scheduled check-ins as it progresses.

Install:

Onsite installation, commissioning, and startup at your facility.
